Your kiosk has ice. The bar next door needs it.

Kiosk, mini market or bakery, you're usually open when others run short. Nokk lets them find you.

Crowded shelves of boxes in a small shop storeroom

Saturday23:10

The bar two streets down has run out of ice.

You have ten bags in the freezer. Before, you'd only know if they sent someone round to ask. Now the request lands on your phone, you send an offer with a price, and ten minutes later a waiter is at your window.

What you run short of, some days

Your own requests go out the same way. Pick one to see.

Who nearby might have it

Kiosks, cafés

  • Goes to the shops around you that are on Nokk.
  • If nobody answers in 10 minutes, it reaches further on its own.
An example. Asking costs nothing.

Count the shop by barcode, no till needed

Most of what you sell already has a barcode. Scan it with your phone and count shelf by shelf, fridge by fridge.

See Nokk Stock
  • Set a minimum on water, soft drinks, till rolls. Anything below it goes on a list with “Order +N”.

  • After about two weeks it tells you how long something will last. Before that, it says it doesn't know yet.

  • Photograph the delivery note and the lines match your products. Anything it isn't sure of, it leaves for you.

Close to its date? A shop nearby can use it today.

Milk that expires tomorrow, the afternoon bread, crates that won't move. A café or taverna next to you might want them. Post them with a photo. Giving them away costs nothing.

See Nokk Swap

For kiosks and mini markets, Nokk mostly works the other way round.

Most businesses in the pilot are cafés, bars and restaurants. So they'll ask you more often than you'll ask them. Ice, water, tonic, lemons, a gas bottle. Things already in your fridge and storeroom.

Questions

Is it a till system?

No. Nokk doesn't print receipts or connect to a till or myDATA. It counts your stock and puts you in touch with the shops around you.

Does it work for a bakery?

Yes. Count flour, yeast and supplies in the storeroom, and pass the afternoon's leftover bread to a café or taverna nearby.

Who pays for delivery?

You agree it between you. Either they come and pick it up, or you bring it and put the delivery cost in your offer.

What does it cost?

During the pilot, everything is 0%. After that, a percentage only on sales that close through Nokk: 3% for anyone who joins now, for as long as they stay. Nokk Stock is free in the pilot.
