Nokk Swap

Sell surplus stock to the shop next door.

Cases nobody touches, stock close to its date, whatever the season left behind. Better next door than in the bin.

What goes up

Taverna courtyard with tables in Kefalonia

End of season

The season's over and the storeroom is still full

Water, soft drinks, paper cups. Or a fridge, the chairs, the whole beach bar kit. Somebody in the area stays open all winter.

Close to its date

It'll sit on your shelf

A busier place down the road gets through it in a week.

Ordered too much

You took the deal, now you're stuck with it

List what won't move at your price, or let other businesses make you an offer.

Giving it away

Not worth selling?

Give it away. Nokk takes nothing on that, now or later.

From your shelf to the shop next door

  1. Take a photo

Say how much you've got, what shape it's in, and your price. Or that it's free.

  2. Businesses nearby see it

Visitors to the site only see your area. Businesses signed up to Nokk see who you are.

  3. They make an offer

For all of it, or part of it if you're fine with that. Sort out the rest in the chat.

  4. Hand it over

They pick it up or you drop it off. You both confirm the handover and rate each other.

What the businesses around you are selling, giving away or swapping.

Every listing comes from a verified business. You see its area and its rating. Who it is, and exactly where, you find out in the app once you make an offer.

During the pilot, everything is 0%.

After that there's a percentage, only on sales that close. No subscription, no monthly fee.

Delivery costs sit outside the percentage.

What you're allowed to sell

Can I sell something that's close to its date?

Yes, as long as the date hasn't passed. Anything marked “best before” you can sell normally up to that date. Anything marked “use by” can't be sold or given away once the date has passed. That's the basic rule, not legal advice. For anything specific, ask your accountant or EFET, the Greek food authority.

Alcohol, tobacco, pharmacy goods?

Those have their own rules. The listing is marked, and only businesses that have registered their licence with Nokk can make an offer. Beyond that, the same law applies as outside Nokk.

Will my customers see me selling stock off?

The public page shows your area, not your shop's name. And only registered businesses can buy.

What about used equipment?

Yes. A fridge, a coffee machine, café chairs. You say what state it's in: new, unopened, used or for parts.

Questions

Where does it work?

It's running as a pilot in a few neighbourhoods. If yours isn't in yet, sign up and we'll tell you when it opens.

Who moves the stuff?

You sort it out between you. They pick it up or you bring it round. Delivery is counted separately from the percentage.

Can I sell just part of it?

Yes. You say whether you'll take smaller orders and what the minimum is.

Can I swap instead?

Sure. Write what you'd take in exchange, say cases of water for paper cups.

How long does a listing stay up?

60 days. If it hasn't gone by then, it expires and you can put it back up from the app.

What if it isn't what the photo showed?

After the handover you can ask for a return inside the deal. Ratings stay on each business, so you can see who plays fair.

Do I need an iPhone?

No. The apps for iPhone and Android are coming soon. Until then it works on a computer at nokk.gr.

Got stock in the back that isn't going anywhere?

Join the pilot. We'll call you, set it up with you, and you pay nothing while it runs.
